This set of variables will be tied to bulimia and anorexia problems, which, aside from being considered as pathologies more o less generalized among young people, are extremes signals of an style of life, which can oscillate between an strong consumerism and restricted needs systematically applied.El presente ensayo trata acerca del conjunto de prácticas y de tendencias que gobiernan hoy la apariencia y la realidad de los cuerpos. En términos genéricos, caracterizaremos lo que hoy por hoy se denomina la cultura light, así como los diferentes regímenes a los que se someten sus cultores en el afán, frecuentemente obsesivo, de resaltar la figura y hacer de la propia anatomía una credencial contundente en el intercambio cotidiano. Demás está señalar que este conjunto de indicadores se vinculará a la problemática de la anorexia y la bulimia, que además de ser concebidas como patologías más o menos generalizadas en las poblaciones jóvenes, son igualmente señales, si se quiere extremas, de un estilo de vida que oscila entre el consumismo más desaforado y las necesidades restrictivas sistemáticamente aplicadas.
