With this in mind, this article seeks to contribute to an understanding of the Brazilian academic scenario regarding the participation of women in the STEM (world of) work. Thus, the question that guided our mapping was: what is the national production on women’s participation in the Brazilian STEM scene? To this end, we searched the following databases: SCOPUS, Web of Science, Google Scholar and Scielo, and found a total of 47 references. These were analyzed and separated into six groups according to their central proposal.El bajo número de mujeres en los llamados campos STEM ha sido objeto de investigación en todo el mundo. Tales investigaciones son importantes para aumentar el debate y la reflexión sobre la disparidad entre el número de hombres y mujeres en estas áreas. Con esto en mente, este artículo busca contribuir a la comprensión del escenario académico brasileño en lo que se refiere a la participación de las mujeres en el trabajo STEM. Así, la pregunta que orientó nuestro mapeo fue: ¿cuál es la producción nacional sobre la participación de las mujeres en el escenario STEM brasileño? Para ello, se realizó una encuesta en las siguientes bases de datos: SCOPUS, Web of Science, Google Scholar y Scielo, y se encontró un total de 47 referencias. Éstas fueron analizadas y separadas en seis grupos de acuerdo con su propuesta central.O número reduzido de mulheres nas áreas chamadas STEM tem sido objeto de pesquisas ao redor do mundo. Tais investigações são importantes para ampliar, cada vez mais, a discussão e reflexão acerca da disparidade existente entre o número de homens e mulheres nessas áreas. Pensando nisso, o artigo busca contribuir para uma compreensão do cenário acadêmico brasileiro sobre a participação das mulheres no (mundo do) trabalho em STEM. Dessa forma, a pergunta que norteou nosso mapeamento foi: o que há de produção nacional que verse sobre a participação das mulheres no cenário brasileiro de STEM?
