The research instrument was applied to managers and directors of different organizations, producing a total of 45 interviews and employing the partial least squares (PLS) regression technique for data analysis. The Omega McDonald index and Dillon-Goldstein’s RHO were employed to assess the instrument’s confidence level. The results indicate that the intervention new information technologies (ICTs) as tools for innovation and competitiveness in the labor market contributed as much as nearly 84 %.  Esta investigación tuvo como propósito realizar un análisis de las tecnologías de la información (TIC) y los procesos productivos en las organizaciones en tiempos de COVID-19 del sector industrial del estado de Tamaulipas. Los municipios evaluados fueron: Tampico, Altamira y Reynosa. Se aplicó el instrumento de investigación a gerentes o directores representantes de diferentes organizaciones. Hubo un total de 45 entrevistas y se utilizó la técnica de regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales (PLS) para el análisis de los datos. Para conocer el nivel de confianza del instrumento, se utilizó el índice de Omega McDonald y rho de Dillon-Goldsteind.
