The paper mentions some theories that gave rise to this new type of learning, as well as the foundations of this theory by its creators and advocates. The role of the teacher in this new form of learning and the importance of the student or participant node are explained; also, how this theory could evolve by implementing artificial intelligence and how intelligent connections could be achieved. Finally, the theory is projected to a new form of learning based on artificial education, resorting to intelligent nodes and conjecturing, in a certain way, the rupture of the indispensability of the teacher in this learning process.Este artículo expone y argumenta la teoría del aprendizaje llamada conectivismo; un nuevo paradigma del aprendizaje que se está empezando a aplicar en esta era digital, basado en la interconexión de los nodos de una amplia red de información y conocimiento. En el escrito se mencionan algunas teorías que dieron lugar a este nuevo tipo de aprendizaje, así como los fundamentos de esta teoría por parte de sus creadores y defensores. Se explica el rol del docente en esta nueva forma del aprendizaje y la importancia del nodo alumno o participante; también, cómo podría evolucionar esta teoría implementando la inteligencia artificial y cómo se podrían lograr conexiones inteligentes. Finalmente, se proyecta la teoría a una nueva forma de aprendizaje basada en la educación artificial, recurriendo a los nodos inteligentes y conjeturando, en cierta forma, la ruptura de la indispensabilidad del docente en este proceso de aprendizaje.Este artigo expõe e argumenta a teoria da aprendizagem chamada connectivismo; um novo paradigma de aprendizagem que começa a ser aplicado nesta era digital, baseado na interconexão dos nós de uma ampla rede de informação e conhecimento. O documento menciona algumas das teorias que deram origem a este novo tipo de aprendizagem, bem como os fundamentos desta teoria por seus criadores e defensores. O papel do professor nesta nova forma de aprendizagem e a importância do aluno ou nó participante é explicado; também, como esta teoria poderia evoluir pela implementação da inteligência artificial e como as conexões inteligentes poderiam ser alcançadas.
