Sumario:Intrafamily violence and its different manifestations to which children are exposed implies a situation of constant risk to their development due to negative effects that impact on various spheres of their life. The objective of this research was to determine the psychosocial impact generated by the exposure of intrafamily violence in boys and girls aged 8 to 10 years, from the Ciudadela Amazonas II of Puerto Bolivar. In this study it was used a quantitative methodology with descriptive scope, the sample was made up of 30 families with their sons and daughters from 8 to 10 years of age. The results showed the most frequent type of violence: 37 % moderate physical violence and 43 % severe psychological violence to which children are exposed in their homes. The characteristics that potentiate and generate family difficulties of risk of the studied families is 60 % of severe criticality; the free drawings made by children exposed to conflictive situations are characterized by high frequencies of specific indicators that show their experience of this problem. Also, the habitual social behavior of children in interaction with their peers reveals 60 % aggressive behavior and 73 % of inhibited behavior. Data showing a high index of aftermath and psychosocial impact in the children studied.
