Intrafamily violence and its different manifestations to which children are exposed implies a situation of constant risk to their development due to negative effects that impact on various spheres of their life. The objective of this research was to determine the psychosocial impact generated by the exposure of intrafamily violence in boys and girls aged 8 to 10 years, from the Ciudadela Amazonas II of Puerto Bolivar. In this study it was used a quantitative methodology with descriptive scope, the sample was made up of 30 families with their sons and daughters from 8 to 10 years of age. The results showed the most frequent type of violence: 37 % moderate physical violence and 43 % severe psychological violence to which children are exposed in their homes.
