The research is based on a descriptive and non-experimental design, and a questionnaire was used as an instrument to collect data from a sample of eighty patients diagnosed with this disease. After the analysis and interpretation of the results, it was found that patients with lupus erythematosus present a moderate level of depression compared to the emotions of the environment.Este artículo tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de depresión en pacientes diagnosticados con lupus eritematoso en la Asociación Peruana de Lupus (Apelupus) y surge como respuesta a la diversa sintomatología psicológica que incrementa la problemática en riesgo de la enfermedad de los pacientes. La investigación obedece a un tipo descriptivo y diseño no experimental, habiéndose utilizado un cuestionario como instrumento de recolección de datos a una muestra de ochenta pacientes diagnosticados con dicha enfermedad.
