In addition, Howard Gardner's theory of spatial intelligence was considered. The research is basic type, comparative descriptive level. A checklist was used as an instrument. 0.023 (p <.005) was obtained, that is, there is a difference in spatial orientation in four years in favor of the private educational institution.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la diferencia en la orientación espacial en niños de cuatro años de una Institución Educativa Pública y una Institución Educativa Privada, Lima. Los fundamentos teóricos se basaron en la teoría de Jean Piaget, que refiere los procesos cognitivos desarrollados según la edad de los infantes, los cuales se relacionan con las etapas de adquisición del espacio. Además, se consideró la teoría de inteligencia espacial de Howard Gardner. La investigación es tipo básica, nivel descriptivo comparativo. Se empleó como instrumento una lista de cotejo.
