Research in the world describes how technology has produced important changes in the conception of teaching and learning processes. Various investigations in both Latin America and Peru have shown that the implementation of resources based on technologies is effective in the learning process. The main purpose of the study was to describe the influence of the Virtual Classroom of Social Sciences (AVCCSS) program on the academic performance of students in regular basic education. The program was based on the use of the virtual classroom developed on the Canvas platform, with the b-learning modality, it was based on the theory of constructivism, a potential complement for the classroom. We worked from the perspective of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), mediated by Learning and Knowledge Technologies (TAC). The study is part of the positivist paradigm, quantitative approach of explanatory level, experimental design, pre-experimental subtype. The results show that the AVCCSS program and the use of the virtual classroom had a positive and significant influence on the students' academic performance.El vertiginoso avance de la ciencia mediado por las tecnologías ha repercutido en una u otra forma en los distintos sectores que enmarca toda actividad humana. Investigaciones en el mundo describen como la tecnología ha producido cambios importantes en la concepción de enseñanza y los procesos de aprendizaje. En diversas investigaciones tanto en Latinoamérica como en Perú se ha demostrado que la implementación de recursos en base a las tecnologías es efectiva en el proceso de aprendizaje. El propósito fundamental del estudio fue describir la influencia del programa Aula Virtual de Ciencias Sociales (AVCCSS) en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de educación básica regular. El programa se basó en el uso del aula virtual desarrollada en la plataforma Canvas, con la modalidad del b- learning, se tuvo como base la teoría del constructivismo, complemento potencial para la clase presencial. Se trabajó desde la perspectiva del uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TIC), mediado por las Tecnologías del Aprendizaje y Conocimiento (TAC). El estudio se enmarca en el paradigma positivista, enfoque cuantitativo de nivel explicativo, de diseño experimental, subtipo pre experimental.
