The research method used was the descriptive one, with a nonexperimental design. The results indicate that the students are capable of adapting positively to adverse contexts, managing to develop their emotional competence, likewise, they possess the ability to build their own identity and accept themselves, essential factors for the development of an adequate self-esteem and the fulfillment of long term goals, for which they have sufficient resources to face their future.Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo medir el nivel de resiliencia en adolescentes de una institución educativa ubicada en una zona urbano-marginal durante la pandemia producida por el Covid 19, con el propósito de identificar los niveles de competencia emocional y de aceptación de uno mismo durante la emergencia sanitaria, mediante la aplicación de la Escala de Resiliencia de Wagnild y Youn, a 143 adolescentes. El método de investigación empleado fue el descriptivo, con un diseño no experimental.
