It is a quantitative methodology, non-experimental design, comparative and transactional descriptive level. We worked with a sample of 105 5-year-old children using an observation guide as a data collection instrument that was duly validated and has high reliability. After data collection and statistical analysis, it is concluded that there are differences in the spatial notion in 5-year-old children of a Public Educational Institution and a Private Educational Institution, Lima - 2019. With a value of significance <0.005 according to the U-test. Mann Whitney.La investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar las diferencias en la noción espacial en niños de 5 años de una institución educativa pública y una institución educativa privada. El estudio refiere sobre las nociones de espacio en el marco de un proceso constructivo y relacional con su medio. Es una metodología cuantitativa, diseño no experimental, nivel descriptivo comparativo y de transaccional. Se trabajó con una muestra de 105 niños de 5 años utilizándose una guía de observación como instrumento de recolección de datos que estuvo debidamente validado y que posee una confiabilidad alta. Luego del acopio de datos y el análisis estadístico se concluye que existen diferencias de la noción espacial en niños de 5 años de una Institución Educativa Publica y una Institución Educativa Privada, Lima – 2019.
