Based on theories of the fantastic, it is argued that Tlön’s imaginary world is an inverse representation of our «reality». With this, the configuration of a bookish reality is established that, although it is textual in nature, can affect and alter what we know as the world.El presente artículo es un análisis del cuento «Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius» de Jorge Luis Borges, incluido en su libro Ficciones (1944). Se analiza la concepción del tiempo en este cuento a partir del postulado fantástico de la negación del tiempo. Para ello, se establece un vínculo temático con el ensayo «Nueva refutación del tiempo». Sobre la base de teorías de lo fantástico, se busca sustentar que el mundo imaginario de Tlön es una representación inversa de «nuestra realidad».
