Already in 1972, I formulated a hypothesis about the coexistence of four parallel hierarchies, hierarchies of castes, estates, cultures and classes (social layers). It is assumed that the levels of the four hierarchies were named in a similar way, or even in the same way, and therefore the existence of several hierarchies can be recognized only when one and the same person is named simultaneously with different terms, e.g.: rancher, Indian, Spanish, cholo. Universidad Católica San Pablo1980-12-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/114910.36901/allpanchis.v12i16.1149Allpanchis; Vol. 12 Núm. 16 (1980): Mariategui y el Mundo Andino; 89-130Allpanchis; Vol. 12 No. 16 (1980): Mariategui and the Andean World; 89-1302708-89600252-883510.36901/allpanchis.v12i16reponame:Revistas - Universidad Católica San Pabloinstname:Universidad Católica San Pabloinstacron:UCSPspahttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/1149/456Derechos de autor 1980 Jan Szeminskihttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.ucsp.edu.pe:article/11492022-06-05T16:05:12Z
