Despite the belief that popular religiosity would stop the advance of other religions, due to the force of belief and tradition, this has not been the case in many communities.En este número completamos la entraga de las ponencias presentadas en el IX Congreso de ALER, celebrado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, en el año 2002. Estudiar la religión en los Andes en la actualidad no puede dejar de lado el análisis de las religiones evangélicas que se extienden en los últimos años en las ciudades y con un ritmo más acelerado en las comunidades.
