El artículo aborda el antichilenismo popular presente entre la población de Lima en aquel contexto e identifica sus características, manifestaciones y la forma en la que habría afectado a la población chilena residente en la ciudad. Además, se analiza la dinámica y relación entre aquel y el discurso oficial del gobierno de Leguía, quien manipuló el discurso antichileno conforme a sus intereses en las negociaciones con el gobierno chileno.The solution of the border conflict with Chile was the priority issue in matters of Foreign Relations that Augusto B. Leguía assumed in his second period of government known as the Oncenio (1919-1930). The paper approach the popular antichilenism in the population of Lima during that context, identifying its characteristics, manifestations and the way in which it would have affected the Chilean population residing in the city.
