Therefore, it can be concluded that the analysed testaments were written by indigenous writers. The purpose of the article is to contribute to the investigation of the role of indigenous writers in the 17th Century in the central Andes of Peru.Este artículo propone un análisis pragmático-discursivo de testamentos procedentes del valle de Jauja (Perú) del siglo XVII, los cuales se consideran manifestaciones del saber lingüístico y textual de sus redactores. En estos testamentos se pueden rastrear fenómenos lingüísticos y textuales que resultan del contacto de lenguas español-quechua. Por lo tanto, se puede deducir que los testamentos analizados fueron redactados por bilingües. El artículo contribuye a la investigación del papel de escribanos y escribientes indígenas en el siglo XVII en los Andes centrales del Perú.
