Descripción
Sumario:Consideration of human rights in the 1980s and 1990s has been the subject of several meetings, of which the one held in Vienna in 1993 is perhaps one of the most important milestones because it marked an action plan signed by the 171 countries attending. A year later, Argentina raised international treaties on human rights to constitutional status by incorporating them into the reform of its Constitution. In this context, the past decade has been characterized by debates on justice and ethics in the context of a growing need to determine the feasibility of establishing international courts to ensure the application of justice in cases of crimes against humanity.
