In this work we intend to show, to the degree to which we have advanced in the answer, that this is possible if the place occupied by the sierra in the national economy changes radically.En esta época de creciente globalización y poder de la ciencia en la actividad económica y, en el caso del Perú, en medio de un largo proceso de "costeñización" de la población y de la producción y los servicios ¿es posible pensar una estrategia de desarrollo a largo plazo que tenga en la sierra, y habría que añadir la selva, uno de los lugares protagónicos?
