Este artículo se refiere brevemente a un juicio que sostuvieron unos "indios principales" del curacazgo de Colán, básicamente por la toma de una "casa casical".The control of power among the indigenous elite is a key issue to understand the process of socio-political destructuring that the Andean curacazgos experienced during the centuries after the XVI AD. This problem is reflected in the conflicts and rivalries between the curacas, not only because of the taking of their emblems of command, such as the chipana, duho or tiana, uncu, trumpets and taverns, but also because of the rooms where they lived.
