It is crucial for healthcare professionals to work together to develop and implement safer and more effective strategies for postoperative pain management.La crisis de los opioides ha alcanzado niveles alarmantes a nivel global, exacerbada por la prescripción excesiva de estos fármacos, especialmente tras procedimientos quirúrgicos, lo que incrementa el riesgo de dependencia y abuso. Se estima que hasta un 10% de los pacientes desarrollan un uso persistente, y la sobreprescripción no solo afecta a los individuos, sino que también facilita su disponibilidad y uso indebido en la comunidad. Es importante que los profesionales de la salud trabajen juntos para desarrollar e implementar estrategias más seguras y efectivas para el manejo del dolor posoperatorio. A crise dos opioides atingiu níveis alarmantes em escala global, exacerbada pela prescrição excessiva desses fármacos, especialmente após procedimentos cirúrgicos, o que aumenta o risco de dependência e abuso. Estima-se que até 10% dos pacientes desenvolvam um uso persistente, e a prescrição excessiva não apenas afeta os indivíduos, mas também facilita a disponibilidade e o uso indevido na comunidade.
