RESULTS: The number of instrumental deliveries in the Hospital is similar to other reference centers and is within the accepted; perinatal maternal outcomes are similar to those of normal deliveries. CONCLUSION: The choice of vacuum vs. forceps, the decision lies primarily in training technical.OBJETIVO: Analizar la casuística del Centro Hospitalario Pereira Rossell de los últimos cinco años, analizar el lugar que ocupa el parto instrumental, sus resultados, y desde la reintroducción del vacuum extractor, realizar una revisión sistemática comparando las cualidades entre ambos métodos. METODOLOGÍA: Revisión sistemática sobre el uso del parto instrumentado. RESULTADOS: El número de partos instrumentales en el Centro Hospitalario es similar al de otros centros de referencia y se encuentra dentro de lo aceptado; los resultados maternos perinatales son similares a los de partos normales.
