The most common symptoms were vaginal bleeding (100%), vomiting, softness (46.1 %) and excessive growth of the uterus (61.5%). Toxemic symptoms were present in only 23% of the women. Evacuation was accomplish by oxytocin followed by curettage in 53.7% of the cases. In the remaining ones hysterotomy was necessary and a 30.7% incidence of lutein cysts was detected. A low incidence of complications, absence of malign transformation and of maternal death are reported.Una incidencia de 0,23% de pacientes con mola hidatidiforme benigna, comparables con grupos similares de pacientes se encuentra en el Hospital Materno Infantil de San Bartolomé en Lima. La mayoría de los 13 casos denunciados ocurrieron en mujeres jóvenes y de mediana edad, que tuvieron hijos de tres o más, aunque el 30% eran los primeros embarazos. Los síntomas más frecuentes fueron el sangrado vaginal (100%), vómitos, suavidad (46,1%) y el crecimiento excesivo del útero (61,5%). Toxémicas síntomas estaban presentes en sólo el 23% de las mujeres. Evacuación era lograr por la oxitocina seguido por legrado en 53.7% de los casos. En los restantes histerotomía era necesario y se detectó una incidencia del 30,7% de los quistes luteína.
