The trial has been followed by a period longer than six months, being induced beneficial effects after the first month of treatment. They have been increasing and sustaining throughout the treatment period. The EMD 18-140, drug does not cause lesions on liver as evidenced by the respective functional testing, however no favorable evidence from the topographic point of view, as evidenced by the value indices of maturation.Se presenta los resultados del ensayo clínico del producto EMD 18-140 que es una combinación de Estrógenos conjugados naturales, para el tratamiento del Síndrome climatérico. El material clínico está constituido por 46 pacientes con sintomatología climatérica variada, con predominancia en primer lugar de trastornos vasomotores, en segundo lugar de trastornos neuropsíquicos, en tercer lugar de otros trastornos. El ensayo ha sido seguido por un periodo mayor de seis meses, induciéndose efectos beneficiosos después del primer mes de tratamiento. Los mismos que han venido incrementando y sosteniendo durante todo el lapso de tratamiento.
