The possible rol of the maternal nutrition in the etiology of the toxemia of pregnancy is discussed.Los autores han estudiado la interrelación entre la toxemia del embarazo y el estado nutricional de los pacientes; la incidencia global en 2.523 mujeres fue 16,2%, pero en pacientes con la ingestión de proteínas subnormal la incidencia era significativamente mayor que en las mujeres con dieta adecuada.
