Along neurological problems they present chronic pulmonary disease, language delay, growth retardation, strabismus, deafness, attention deficit, herniae and sudden death syndrome diagnosed in the follow up.El recién nacido pretérmino con menos de 1 500 g es llamado recién nacido de peso muy bajo, tiene órganos inmaduros, peculiar fisiología, alta morbilidad y mortalidad y los sobrevivientes tienen con frecuencia secuelas. Ellos necesitan nutrición y cuidado especial.
