However, semen, in the last 50 years, are losing quality. Progress in the study of couples without children has been rapid in recent decades. The endoscopic study has marked a new era in this regard, to the extent that today, two sterile women, laparoscopy is one. As the years progress, more sterile undergo noting that this study will not be diagnosable but by that method elements, such as endometriosis and ratification or rectification of other causes, such as tubal patency, the relationship between the fallopian tubes and ovaries, pelvic peritoneal adhesions, small fibroids, etc. It complements very well hysterosalpingography.Sesenta y cinco millones de personas sufren en el mundo el problema de esterilidad conyugal. La esterilidad es de causa desconocida en el 14%, es debida sólo a la mujer en el 36%, sólo al hombre en el 22% y a ambos en el 28%. Hay evidencias que la esterilidad en el mundo está disminuyendo. Sin embargo, el semen, en los últimos 50 años, está bajando de calidad. El progreso en el estudio de la pareja sin hijos ha sido vertiginoso en las últimas décadas. El estudio endoscópico ha marcado una nueva era al respecto, al extremo de que hoy, de dos mujeres estériles, se hace laparoscopía en una de ellas.
