Sumario:OBJECTIVE. To determine the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of adverse drug reactions in hospitalized patients. METHOD. Prospective, descriptive and longitudinal study. RESULTS. Among a total of 4 465 patients hospitalized in the medical, surgical, gynecological, pediatric and emergency departments of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, during the year 2016, 103 cases of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) were presented, representing an incidence of 2,31 %; male gender 52,43 %; being the age group 21-30 year-old (26,21 %) with the most ADRs. Antibiotics were the most associated with ADRs: 64,08 %. The medical service was where more ADRs were presented (53,04 %), being the most frequent type A: 72,82 %. And, 48,54 % of cases had manifestations in skin, being the most frequent clinical manifestation the generalized erythema: 22,33 %. In most cases, ADRs were mild: 60,19 %. CONCLUSIONS. It was found a low incidence of ADRs, mainly related to antibiotics and NSAIDs and the most frequent clinical manifestation was the skin involvement.
