OBJETIVO. Determinar las características clínicas y epidemiológicas de las reacciones adversas a medicamentos en pacientes internados. MÉTODO. Estudio prospectivo, descriptivo y longitudinal. RESULTADOS. De un total de 4 465 pacientes hospitalizados en los servicios de medicina, cirugía, ginecología, pediatría y emergencia del Hospital Regional del Cusco, durante el año de 2016, se presentaron 103 casos de reacciones adversas medicamentosas (RAM), representando una incidencia de 2,31 %, varones 52,43 %, el grupo etario que tuvo más RAM fue el de 21 a 30 años (26,21 %). Los antibióticos fueron los que más se relacionaron con RAM: 64,08 %. El servicio de medicina presentó más RAM (53,04 %), siendo más frecuente el de tipo A: 72,82 %.
