The article reviews the concept of community hold by Kohlberg's theory and the caring perspective, theories that eventhough assume different philosophical premises and a different concept of community, call for a communitarian ethics for the development of a real moral self.La teoría de Kohlberg es la más clara aproximación, desde la psicología, al concepto de una moral comunitaria, principalmente con su propuesta educativa de las Comunidades Justas. El presente artículo, sin embargo, pone en cuestión la coherencia de esta propuesta dentro del marco deontológico liberal de la teoría Kohlbergiana.
