Through an initial theoretical review, relevant concepts such as consumption-oriented perceptions of success and pressure for personal performance are discussed. The second part of the analysis focuses on the music video for “Shadow,” highlighting the internal struggles of BTS members and their critique of the demands for success and well-being in a neoliberal context. This study reveals how music serves as a platform to raise awareness of mental health issues in an era dominated by self-exploitation and the pursuit of performance.El análisis busca visibilizar la relación entre la crisis de salud mental y el neoliberalismo a través de “Interlude: Shadow” de BTS. En primera instancia, se discuten los efectos negativos del modelo neoliberal en la salud mental, como la presión por el éxito y el consumo, y cómo estos generan altos niveles de estrés y una sensación de fracaso. La estructura del análisis consiste en una reseña teórica y un examen del video musical. Se destaca que, a pesar de que el neoliberalismo ha impulsado el crecimiento económico en Asia, ha generado un aumento en trastornos mentales y suicidios, particularmente en Corea del Sur y Japón. La canción “Shadow”, escrita por Min Yoon-gi, refleja estas luchas personales y la presión del éxito, y se utiliza como un medio para criticar las condiciones sociales actuales.
