Through this structure, the course aims for students to visualize the historical evolution of legal institutions, thus providing a comprehensive and contextualized perspective that highlights the validity of Roman principles in contemporary Peruvian law.El trabajo detalla el desarrollo y la estructura del curso "Bases Romanistas del Derecho Civil" en la Facultad de Derecho de la PUCP, diseñado para recuperar el enfoque formativo en el Derecho Romano. Este curso, obligatorio desde el primer ciclo de la carrera de derecho, ofrece a los estudiantes una comprensión histórica de las instituciones romanas en relación con el Derecho Civil moderno. Su metodología inicial se centra en el Código Civil peruano, seguido por el análisis de las Instituciones de Justiniano y, posteriormente, de los códigos civiles francés y alemán, promoviendo una comparación sistemática y temporal. Los temas tratados incluyen conceptos esenciales como persona, familia, propiedad, contratos, y el acto jurídico.
