The experience of remote classes, using virtual communication technologies during the pandemic, changed the learning relationships between teachers and students. These changes did not happened in a homogeneous and linear manner. This text discusses the different uses of these technologies and how these processes have contributed to strengthening existing educational inequalities. The arguments were structured in three moments, in order to consider processes that occurred before, during and after the pandemic. To deal with education inequalities after the pandemic, three challenges are suggested.El artículo tiene como objetivo discutir los efectos de la pandemia producida por el Covid 19 en la educación superior brasileña en 2020. La adopción de la educación remota, utilizando tecnologías de comunicación virtual durante la pandemia, cambió las relaciones de enseñanza y aprendizaje; los cambios no se produjeron de forma homogénea y lineal. Este texto analiza los diferentes usos de esas tecnologías y cómo sus procesos han contribuido a fortalecer las desigualdades educativas existentes. Los argumentos se estructuraron en tres momentos a fin de considerar procesos que ocurrieron antes, durante después de la pandemia. Al final, se enumeran tres desafíos para que la posibilidad del regreso presencial a clases en la pospandemia sea también una oportunidad para enfrentar los procesos de favorecimiento de las desigualdades educativas.O artigo tem por objetivo discutir efeitos da pandemia da Covid-19 no ensino superior brasileiro em 2020. A adoção do ensino remoto durante a pandemia, por meio da utilização de tecnologias de comunicação virtuais, alterou as relações de ensino e aprendizagem. Estas mudanças não ocorreram de maneira homogênea e linear. Este texto tece considerações sobre os usos diferenciados destas tecnologias e sobre como estes processos contribuíram para o fortalecimento das desigualdades educacionais já existentes. Os argumentos foram estruturados em três momentos, considerando os processos que ocorreram antes, durante e depois da pandemia.
