This thesis contains the germs of ideas that will enable him to connect the causal theory of belief and the coherent justitication theory. This connection will enableus to support the consistency of theses that in our view constitute this intermediate position, and justify their plausibility.En 'The Structure and Content of Truth" Davidson propone la adopción de una posición intermedia entre las teorías realistas y las teorías epistémicas. A nuestro entender dicha adopción, lejos de constituir un corte con sus propuestas anteriores, ya estaba preligurada en "A CoherenceTheory of Truth and Knowledge", aparecido siete años antes. Es más, pretendo defender que la idea de que la coherencia engendra correspondencia. que es la tesis central del referido artículo, encierra un núcleo importante de su propuesta de una posición intermedia. al contener en germen las ideas que permitirán establecer la conexión entrela teoría causal de la creencia y la teoría coherentista de la justiticación.
