This can be noted in the selection of the expert; in determining the scope of the report; in the form of access to the documentation of the process; in communications that the expert may or may not have with the parties, their respective experts, and with the arbitrator; in the selection of methodologies to evaluate costs and extensions of time; in legal matters related to the technical aspects of the report; in the expert hearing; and in the content of the report itself. In this article we will seek to identify the difficulties that usually arise, with some proposals of possible solutions.Durante el desarrollo de un informe o dictamen pericial se presentan dificultades que pueden llegar a incidir significativamente en su valor probatorio. Ello se puede advertir en la selección del perito; en la determinación del alcance del informe; en la forma de acceso a la documentación del proceso; en las comunicaciones que el perito puede o no tener con las partes, con sus respectivos expertos y con el propio árbitro; en la selección de metodologías para evaluar costos y plazos; en las cuestiones jurídicas vinculadas con los aspectos técnicos de la pericia; en la audiencia de peritaje; y en el propio contenido del informe o dictamen.
