As a personality construct, however, P remains in need of systematic validation.Se describe la respuesta Popular en el test de Rorschach como fenómeno empírico, se discute las interpretaciones tradicionales de su significado, y se presenta un nuevo enfoque relativo a los procesos psicológicos subyacentes. En seguida se revisa la literatura empírica relevante. Hallazgos en tres dominios (psicopatologfa, desarrollo infantil y psicología transcultural) sugieren que se puede tratar a P como un constructo cognitivo válido.
