The results identify three central actions —demand, codification, and dissemination— that organize the relationships established within the emergent Chilean grammatical-pedagogical field and condition the content of the school grammars in connection to the general process of linguistic standardization by the State.Esta investigación aporta al estudio histórico de la gramática escolar en Chile desde una perspectiva que articula la codificación metalingüística con las dinámicas de colaboración y competencia propias de los campos (Bourdieu 2003) en los inicios del sistema educativo nacional. Se realiza un análisis orientado al contenido de los paratextos y superestructura de tres gramáticas escolares publicadas entre 1846 y 1865, que se complementa con documentos de fuentes periódicas oficiales de la época.
