The analysis carried out on the valuation of the ecosystem services of the native forests of Argentina; It shows that our country still has to develop a market to implement in a sustainable way, an economic and profitable recognition for the environmental services that native forests provide to society.El objetivo de esta propuesta ha sido analizar la plataforma normativa para la compensación y pago por servicios ambientales; los elementos para un mercado de servicios ambientales en Argentina; para luego detectar las fortalezas y debilidades para implementar en forma sostenible, un reconocimiento económico y rentable, por los servicios ambientales que brindan a la sociedad los bosques nativos; lo que permite identificar temas críticos en el ámbito legal respecto de las compensaciones relativas a su valoración como herramienta eficaz para promover tanto acciones de conservación como de desarrollo sostenible.
