It is also specified that the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic has powers that allow it to decide the cases in which it will rule. El recurso de casación es una importante institución jurídica del derecho procesal, que en materia laboral es regulada por la Nueva Ley Procesal del Trabajo, Ley n.o 29497 y por la Ley n.o 31699, Ley que Optimiza el Recurso de Casación en la Nueva Ley Procesal del Trabajo. Mediante el método hermenéutico, se realiza un análisis que reflexiona sobre los fines de la casación como institución del derecho procesal. Se precisa, además, que la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la República posee facultades que le permiten decidir los casos en los cuales se pronunciará.
