Ambas ciudades han desarrollado actividades económicas y comerciales durante año. Este contexto de frontera ha hecho que muchos negocios en la ciudad de Tacna, se vean favorecidos con un importante incremento de sus flujos de efectivo como consecuencia del consumo del ciudadano chileno.
