The most frequent ICTs were computer, television, DVD player, radio and the internet.En el presente estudio se realizó un análisis de frecuencias y porcentajes de las TICs que poseen los colegios de la ciudad de Arequipa con el fin de identificar las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TICs) más frecuentes en el contexto escolar y para comparar el acceso a estas tecnologías entre los colegios de gestión pública y privada de la ciudad región. Para ello, se diseñó y aplicó una encuesta en 83 colegios (51 privados y 32 estatales) que fueron seleccionados mediante las técnicas de muestreo probabilístico. Los resultados sugieren que el acceso a las TICs es bajo en ambos tipos de gestión, pero menor en los colegios públicos.
