The SPSS 21.0 program was used in the data analysis. Results: It was identified that the prescriptions issued do not comply with everything stipulated according to the Manual of Good Prescribing Practices of the Ministry of Health of Peru; verifying the following deficiencies: Telephone number of the prescriber or the institution where he works (100%), patient's address (100%), patient telephone number (100%), commercial name of the medicine (100%), dose of the medicine (8 %), pharmaceutical form (71%), therapeutic indications (36%), form of presentation of the prescribed medicine (30%), concentration of the active principle (25%) and legible handwriting (35%). Conclusion: The majority of prescribers do not comply with the manual of good drug prescription practices, which constitute barriers in pharmaceutical care.Objetivo: Identificar el cumplimiento de las buenas prácticas de prescripción de medicamentos en recetas atendidas en hospital público de Lima. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo. Se revisaron en total 5120 recetas en el periodo de enero a junio de 2019, verificando el cumplimiento de las buenas prácticas de prescripción de medicamentos en recetas atendidas en hospital público de Lima. Se utilizó el programa SPSS 21.0 en el análisis de los datos. Resultados: Se identificó que las recetas emitidas no cumplen con todo lo estipulado según el manual de buenas prácticas de prescripción del Ministerio de Salud de Perú; verificandose las siguientes deficiencias: Número de teléfono del prescriptor o la institución donde trabaja (100%), dirección del paciente (100%), teléfono del paciente (100%), nombre comercial del medicamento (100%), dosis del medicamento (8%), forma farmacéutica (71%), indicaciones terapéuticas (36%), forma de presentación del medicamento recetado (30%), concentración del principio activo (25%) y letra legible (35%).
