It was concluded that the pandemic has presented challenges for entry-level teachers. The interaction processes of preschool teachers vary in the different contexts in which they serve during this pandemic. Teacher training and development must include the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to reconsider and participate successfully in distance teaching and learning. This training should be comprehensive and also include how to work with parents.El objetivo del estudio es comprender los retos y perspectivas de la educación preescolar a distancia durante la pandemia COVID-19. Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática descriptiva que incluyó a 13 artículos extraídos de las bases de datos: SCOPUS, ProQuest, SciELO y EBSCO, como estrategia de búsqueda se incluyeron las siguientes palabras clave: “docente de preescolar”, “pandemia”, “educación a distancia”, “aprendizaje en línea”, “enseñanza asistida por ordenador”. Se concluyó que la pandemia ha presentado retos para los profesores de nivel inicial. Los procesos de interacción de los maestros de preescolar varían en los diferentes contextos en los que sirven durante esta pandemia. La formación y el desarrollo de los docentes deben incluir el conocimiento, las habilidades y las disposiciones necesarias para reconsiderar y participar con éxito en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje a distancia.
