As expressed by Román (2004) "The university more than a provider of information must be a builder of knowledge, producing well-ordered minds."

As expressed by Román (2004) "The university more than a provider of information must be a builder of knowledge, producing well-ordered minds."La Educación Superior debe dar una formación integral, desarrollando capacidades, habilidades y destrezas en los estudiantes para transformar conscientemente el desarrollo social, cultural, educativo, económico, ambiental, tecnológico y global a través de los problemas reales del contexto con la aplicación didáctica de la estrategia del ABP dándoseles pautas para desarrollar sostenidamente las habilidades investigativas formando estudiantes autónomos, creativos, comunicativos, responsables, autodidactas. En este contexto la investigación científica desarrollada es transversal bivariada y con enfoque cuantitativo, tiene un diseño metodológico cuasi experimental, donde se manipula intencionalmente la variable independiente (ABP), para ver los resultados que se producirán en la variable dependiente (habilidades investigativas), se trabajó en dos grupos uno de control y el otro experimental siguiendo el diseño de pre prueba - post prueba que se aplicó a una muestra de 47 estudiantes, de control y experimental de las cuatro Escuelas Profesionales de la facultad de Educación. A estos dos grupos se le administra un test previo para medir las condiciones en que se encuentran los estudiantes con respecto a la variable independiente y se les aplica la estrategia para ver el desarrollo de habilidades investigativas.
