description This research shows us the influence that ICTs have on schoolchildren, on today's adolescents, in times of change and in which adolescents increasingly need knowledge, skills and competences in a space that allows them to situate themselves autonomously, reflection and critical attitude and before this knowing the influence of ICT in the teaching of mathematics is due to reasons not only social but also pedagogical. We demonstrate that the Information and Communication Technologies and the Internet influence the Academic Performance in Mathematics of the students of the fifth year of secondary school in the Puente Piedra-Lima district 2017, based on demonstrating the enormous importance that ICTs have in the educational field. The challenge of this generation called digital natives do not know how to take advantage of the technology they have at their disposal, which are used for chatting, online games or other useless purpose. Therefore, establish the relationship of ICTs and academic performance, and how the internet allows easy, varied and updated information is necessary. The instruments used were: the questionnaire validated through an expert judgment, and the Academic Record of the students. The results measured through the Xi square and the ability to acquire information, the ability to work as a team and the strategic learning capacity allow us to affirm that there is a significant relationship between information and communication technologies (ICT) and performance. Academic in fifth grade students of the Puente Piedra-Lima district 2017.

Academic in fifth grade students of the Puente Piedra-Lima district 2017.Esta investigación nos demuestra la influencia que las  TICs tienen en los escolares, en los adolescentes de hoy en día, en épocas de cambio y en la que los adolescentes cada vez necesitan conocimientos, capacidades y competencias en un espacio  que les permita situarse con autonomía, reflexión y actitud crítica y ante ello conocer la influencia de las TICs en la enseñanza aprendizaje de la matemática obedece a razones no solo sociales sino también pedagógicas. Demostramos que  las Tecnologías de información y comunicación y el Internet influyen en el Rendimiento Académico en Matemática de los estudiantes de quinto de Secundaria del distrito de Puente Piedra- Lima 2017, se basó en demostrar la enorme importancia que tienen  las TICs en el ámbito educativo.  El desafío de esta  generación denominada nativos digitales no saben aprovechar la tecnología que tienen a su alcance,  las cuales son utilizados para el chateo, juegos en línea u otro propósito inútil. Por ello,  establecer la relación de las TICs y el rendimiento académico, y cómo el internet permite obtener la información fácil, variada  y  actualizada, se hace necesaria. Los instrumentos  utilizados fueron: el cuestionario  validado a través de un juicio de expertos, y el Récord Académico de los estudiantes.
