Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between teachers' attitudes towards innovation and generic competences in students of the V cycle of the Faculty of Education of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, 2021-I. The research is of a basic type, with a quantitative approach; its design is non-experimental, transectional and is descriptive-correlational. The sample consisted of 119 students, to whom two questionnaires were applied; the first one that allowed to measure teachers 'attitudes towards innovation from the students' perception, was the QUACINE scale questionnaire by Traver and Fernández (2016), which consists of 17 items and 4 dimensions: motivation and teaching dedication, new methodologies, opportunity of the context and revaluation of teaching. The second instrument, aimed at assessing the level of acquired generic competences, was developed by Solanes et al. (2012), with 29 items and 3 dimensions: instrumental, interpersonal and systemic competences. The results obtained showed that there is no significant relationship (Rho = -0.121 and p = 0.188) between the two variables of this study, therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted; however, a significant, inverse and low relationship was found (Rho = -0.274 and p = 0.003) between the new methodologies dimension and the generic competences variable.
