Introduction: At the present time, advances in science and technology have been directly reflected in educational processes at all levels, including higher education, a scenario in which values such as ethics stand out, and the teaching commitment to continuous evolution. educational and cultural. Objective: The study carried out focused on highlighting the importance of ethical elements and teaching innovation within higher education management in Ecuador, since the "Citizen Revolution". Methodology: A documentary-bibliographic exploration was carried out, from which 75 articles related to the proposed theme were obtained, 32 being selected due to the exploration criteria, from the databases: EBSCO, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, Science.gov and Redib, and published within the last five years. Results: Within the investigation it was possible to determine that there has been, since 2008, a series of restructurings, creations of laws and organisms, which, together with improvements in Ecuadorian higher education, have corrected very serious problems of the past, however, there is still a lack of professional updating and state-of-the-art equipment at the university level. Conclusions: Ethics is an essential element that must be included as a subject within the higher education curricula, as occurs in first world countries. With regard to innovation, the close link between ICTs and education is evident, fundamental components for quality educational training. Specifically, the case of Ecuador, there are advances, but not solid and structured enough, for the requirements of this society in continuous development. |

Metodología: Se realizó una exploración documental-bibliográfica, de la cual se obtuvieron 75 artículos relacionados con la temática planteada, siendo seleccionados 32 debido a los criterios de exploración, de las bases de datos: EBSCO, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, Science.gov y Redib, y publicados durante los últimos cinco años. Resultados: Dentro de la investigación fue posible determinar que ha existido a partir del año 2008, una serie de reestructuraciones, creaciones de leyes y organismos, que, junto a mejorías en la educación superior ecuatoriana, han subsanado gravísimas problemáticas del pasado, sin embargo, aún falta una actualización profesional y equipamiento de vanguardia a nivel universitario. Conclusiones: La ética es un elemento esencial que debe ser incluido como asignatura dentro de las mallas curriculares de educación superior, tal como ocurre en los países del primer mundo. En lo que respecta a la innovación, se evidencia el estrecho vínculo entre las TICS y la educación, componentes fundamentales para una formación educativa de calidad. Objetivo: O estudo realizado se concentrou em destacar a importância dos elementos éticos e da inovação pedagógica na gestão da educação superior no Equador, desde a "Revolução Cidadã". Metodologia: Foi realizada uma exploração documental-bibliográfica, da qual foram obtidos 75 artigos relacionados ao tema proposto, sendo 32 selecionados pelos critérios de exploração, das bases de dados: EBSCO, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, Science.gov e Redib, e publicados nos últimos cinco anos. Resultados: Dentro da investigação foi possível determinar que houve, desde 2008, uma série de reestruturações, criações de leis e organismos, que, juntamente com melhorias no ensino superior equatoriano, corrigiram problemas muito graves do passado, no entanto, ainda falta atualização profissional e equipamentos de última geração em nível universitário. Conclusões: A ética é um elemento essencial que deve ser incluído como disciplina nos currículos do ensino superior, como ocorre nos países de primeiro mundo. No que respeita à inovação, é evidente a estreita ligação entre as TIC e a educação, componentes fundamentais para uma formação educativa de qualidade.
