description he general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between executive functions and psychological well-being of first-year high school students from an educational institution in Callao. The study was carried out through an empirical, correlational-simple methodological design. The participants were 216 high school students from an educational institution in the Constitutional Province of Callao. The technique was the survey and the instruments were the EFECO questionnaire and psychological well-being scale (BIPSI). The results have shown that there is a significant relationship between executive functions and psychological well-being, concluding that executive functions are the cognitive capacities of the prefrontal cortex that allow self-regulatory behaviors, self-determine actions, socialize, develop a life purpose and have autonomy. In conclusion: there was a significant and direct relationship between executive functions and psychological well-being of first-year high school students from an educational institution in Callao.

El estudio se realizó a través de un diseño metodológico empírico, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un alcance correlacional-simple. Los participantes fueron 216 estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa de la Provincia Constitucional del Callao. La técnica fue la encuesta y los instrumentos fueron el cuestionario EFECO y escala de bienestar psicológico (BIPSI). Los resultados han demostrado que existe una relación significativa entre las funciones ejecutivas y el bienestar psicológico concluyendo que las funciones ejecutivas son las capacidades cognitivas de la corteza prefrontal que permiten autorregular conductas, autodeterminar acciones, socializar, desarrollar un propósito de vida y tener autonomía. En conclusión: existió una relación significativa y directa entre las funciones ejecutivas y el bienestar psicológico de estudiantes de primer año de secundaria de una institución educativa en Callao.O objetivo geral da investigação é avaliar a relação entre as funções executivas e o bem estar psicológico de estudantes de primeraño de secundaria de uma instituição educativa em Callao. O estúdio realizou um percurso de um projeto metodológico empírico, correlacional-simples. Os participantes fizeram 216 estudantes secundários de uma instituição educativa da Província Constitucional de Callao. A técnica fue a encuesta e os instrumentos fueron el cuestionario EFECO e escala de bienestar psicológico (BIPSI). Os resultados demonstraram que existe uma relação significativa entre as funções ejecutivas e o bem estar psicológico concluindo que as funções executivas são as capacidades cognitivas da corte pré-frontal que permitem condutas autorregulares, ações autodeterminantes, socializar, desenvolver um propósito de vida e ter autonomia.
