The author also emphasizes the need for professionals from various fields to foster critical thinking both for regarding their use and in recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of their application in scientific output.Sr. Editor: Hemos leído con gran interés el artículo de Cornelio Gonzales Torres, publicado en el volumen 2025-2 de la Revista Horizonte Médico (1), en el cual se examina la importancia del uso de la inteligencia artificial (IA) por parte de los investigadores para la elaboración de artículos científicos ―sin dejar de lado la aplicación de valores éticos y morales― en un entorno en el que estas herramientas presentan un crecimiento exponencial, superando las 24 000 IA. Asimismo, el autor enfatiza sobre la necesidad de que los profesionales de diversas carreras fomenten el pensamiento crítico tanto para su uso como para reconocer las ventajas y desventajas de su aplicación en la producción científica.Universidad de San Martín de Porres.
