The guarantees available tothe expropriated studied in this article are the valuation and almost forgotten right ofrevertion of the expropriated property.El presente trabajo presenta y explica algunas cuestiones del disperso régimen comúnde la expropiación forzosa peruana, tratando de incidir en el necesario equilibriojurídico que debe existir en el tratamiento y despliegue efectivo de este instituto de laactividad ablatoria de la Administración Pública. Particularmente, se pone en evidenciael reconocimiento que ha hecho el legislador peruano de un conjunto de garantíasy límites que debe respetar el Estado (en su conjunto) y el sujeto activo impulsor delespecífico procedimiento.
