A twenty three year-old female patient, with a non-remarkable medical history developed during the last 18 months lower extremity, facial, and chest wall edema, and decreased urinary output that improved with the use of diuretics, but after two months she had a recurrence of her symptoms. Physical examination revealed the presence of eyelid and leg edema. Relevant laboratory tests showed normal creatinine values, creatinine clearance 61 mL/min, normal urinalysis, normal proteinuria; ANA, anti-DNA, hepatitis and HIV tests were reported as negative. C3 was also normal, as well as kidney ultrasonography. A kidney percutaneous biopsy was performed, which showed 8/20 affected glomeruli, and focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis. Exámenes auxiliares: creatinina normal, depuración de creatinina 61ml/min, orina normal, proteinuria normal, ANA, AntiDNA, hepatitis y HIV negativos, C3 normal, ecografía renal normal. Se realizó Biopsia Renal que mostró ocho de veinte glomérulos alterados, compatible con GEFS.Colegio Médico del Perú2012-12-28info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://amp.cmp.org.pe/index.php/AMP/article/view/1219ACTA MEDICA PERUANA; Vol. 29 No. 4 (2012); 202-203ACTA MEDICA PERUANA; Vol. 29 Núm. 4 (2012); 202-2031728-59171018-8800reponame:Acta Médica Peruanainstname:Colegio Médico del Perúinstacron:CMPspahttps://amp.cmp.org.pe/index.php/AMP/article/view/1219/690Copyright (c) 2020 ACTA MEDICA PERUANAinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:amp.cmp.org.pe:article/12192023-07-06T05:57:58Z |
